How Does a Stairlift Keep Me Safe at the Top of the Stairs?

Your stairlift is equipped with sensors that shut down the motor automatically if they detect an obstruction in its path of travel, such as something stuck on the stairs unknowingly. When swivelled at the top of the stair, the pivoting seat also serves as a safety barrier at the stairwell’s top to prevent accidents.
